South Central Director 

Jed Evjene was elected to the MSGA Board of Directors representing the South Central District in 2011. He will be up for re-election in 2013.

Jed has been involved in Montana ranching all his life and has been the general ranch manager of the American Fork Ranch for 14 years. The American Fork Ranch raises Angus cross cows, keeps their own replacement heifers, and sells calves every fall. The ranch also puts up its own hay. Jed handles all the day-to-day financial and managerial matters for the ranch. Jed and his wife Annie have three children: Tanner (24) and his wife Amanda, Levi (20), and Andrew (19).

Evjene is past president, past vice president and current board member for the Wheatland Stockgrowers; past president and past vice president of the Crazy Mountain Stockgrowers; chairman of the Sweet Grass County Fair Board for the past 8 years; past MSGA Membership Committee chairman; past MSGA Young Stockgrowers chairman; 2002 Montana delegate to the Young Cattlemen’s Conference; 2003 National Chairman for the YCC; Max Deets Leadership Award winner in 2003; and the American Fork Ranch is an Undaunted Stewardship certified ranch. Outside of the beef industry, Evjene has served on the Hamilton Fire Department board; was training safety officer for the Hamilton Fire Department; is a past registered EMT; and currently serves as secretary/treasurer and safety officer for the Melville Fire Department.
